MP = (100 + 4n)
Discount = (100 + 4n) x (n + 10)/100
SP = (100 + 4n) - (100 + 4n) x (n + 10)/100 = 130
(100 + 4n) [1 - (n+10)/100] = 130
(100 + 4n) [ (90 - n)/100] = 130
9000 + 360n - 100n - 4n^2 = 13000
n^2 - 65n + 1000 = 0
(n - 40)(n - 25) = 0
n = 40 or n = 25
As it is given that n is a multiple of 8, n = 40
New SP = (40 + 10) + 100 = 150
MP = (100 + 4 x 40) = 260
Discount = (110 x 100)/260 = 550/13 = 42.3%
