Right from the day of the examination to the declaration of results and then not to forget the rigorous process of Group Discussion (GD), Writing Ability Test(WAT) and Personal Interview(PI) and finally making it into the shortlist, unveiling the curtains of one of the India’s premiere B-schools might be a daunting task but every moment here would be of great value and everyday would add a significant amount of knowledge, experience and unforgettable moments to your life. Welcome to Indian Institute of Foreign Trade!

IIFT has an outstanding pedagogy and one of the most rigorous curriculums with 1400+ hours of course-work, along with numerous presentations, quizzes and assignments making it one of the most intensive curriculums among the B-Schools in the country.

Starting from the day of commencement, IIFT makes sure it engages students in different activities. With academic sessions from morning to evening and then a well-designed ‘Personality Development Program’ which is conducted by the student bodies to make sure the freshly grind minds induce every nuance of managerial traits into them..

IIFT functions with the belief that the best kind of learning is from peers. It has 6 clubs and 7 cells with each club relating to one of the major domains of management like Finance, Marketing, Operations, Consulting, Systems, and Trade. Each club ensures that they work extensively by imparting domain and industry-specific knowledge by conducting knowledge transfer sessions. The cells would be of diverse interests of people like stock trading, quizzing, entrepreneurship etc which brings all the like-minded peers together helping them facilitate co-curricular and extra-curricular learning. The clubs and cells publish magazines and reports regularly to help students stay abreast of the latest happenings in their fields. Along with this would be a myriad of competitions, case studies, group discussions, quizzes and live projects from various domains which helps student to get industry exposure.

To sensitize the minds of the students with social issues prevalent in the society, IIFT has initiated a unique programme called Social Awareness Programme(SAP) partnering with 40 NGO’s in Delhi and Kolkata, where students do their project relating to the social issues for about three weeks.

IIFT ensures that students acquire first-hand knowledge by observing the real-time scenarios. A visit to port town is arranged in which students come across meticulous information regarding the operations, custom procedure, shipping and role of other trade facilitating agencies.

IIFT has a Student Exchange Programme(SEP) which is an outcome of the institute’s academic collaboration with some of the leading institutions across the world. The interested students can apply for different institutions across the world and study a trimester abroad.

Apart from this, the annual business summits of both the campuses, Tradewinds and Vivaan attract academia and industry leaders to enlighten the students about the recent happenings in industry and the challenges that are open for the future.

IIFT believes in bringing out the best in a person so that effectively, after going out of the college gates, the person remains a true IIFTian and carry on with the legacy of the college for eons of time.
