They took 25 days to complete the work in this manner. How many days could Kanti have taken to complete the job working alone?

  • Total days=189/16 days
    let total work =189
    so work done in one days=16 unit
    Let Ram's work in one day=a unit
    Kanti's work in one day=(16-a) unit
    now work completed by Ram =189 * 1/3=63 unit
    numbr of days =63/a
    now remaining days=25-((63/a))
    ((25a-63)/a
    work (16-a) * (25a-63)/a=126
    so a=9
    now Kanti's work=7
    so kanti will take =189/7=27
