Q50) Bhagat and Chandu start simultaneously from village X to village Y, with their respective speeds in the ratio of 3 2. After traveling one-fourth of the total distance. Chandu triples his speed and travels for some more time. Following which, he again changes his speed and completes the rest of the journey. Bhagat, however maintains his initial speed throughout the journey. If both Bhagat and Chandu reach the village Y at the same time, and the time for which Chandu travel'ed at thrice his initial speed was one-third or his total time of travel, then find the ratio of the respective speeds with which Bhagat and Chandu reach the village Y.

Let total distance be 360x
and speed be 3x and 2x
Time by B = 360x/3x = 120
so Total time by C has to be 120
Now first 1/4 = 360 * 1/4 = 90x
Now first distance 1/4 = 360*1/4 = 90 so time = 45
next , 1/3 of total time ie 120 so 40
time left 40+42 = 85 so 120-85 = 35
and distance left =360x - 90x - 240x = 30x
so speed has to be 30x/35 = 6x/7
so final ratio

numbr of days =63/a
now remaining days=25-((63/a))
work (16-a) * (25a-63)/a=126
now Kanti's work=7
so kanti will take =189/7=27
